Very true. I believe the same. I am a lover of books and education, especially self help books that teaches me additional skills that compliment those I acquired in University. Humans were created to always keep learning, and develop skills to help themselves and others. But especially about their Creator, and therefore it is the Highest Education we can get, for no matter how well educated a person is through college or universities, but they are still full of hatred, malice, nothing comes out of their mouth but obscene language and no love for other humans, no morals etc,. And they even don’t know the purpose of Life, why we are here, where are we going why some people are so wicked, they become like animals with no hope and live for nothing but to die and go back to the earth. Look how many well educated people are falling from grace just because of failing to learn and do things God’s Way. Studying the Bible has been my way of life from childhood, and I spend many years sharing its information and teaching others what it says to people all over. It discusses everything we need to know and answers all the questions we wonder about. John, thanks for taking a read of my article. I believe in people standing firmly with what they believe in. Both occupational therapists such as yourself, and physical therapists, such as myself, have the right to employ creative techniques and methods as to how you go about treating your patient. As far as your integrity is concerned, it should never be forced to use a modality, much less against your own personal desire. The only advice that I can give to you is to not force your thoughts/feelings about modality usage on anybody else. Do what works for you and what coincides with your clinical judgment.

Great article!! I have been getting in a heap of trouble at work where I am employed as an Occupational therapist. The ACP people push passive modalities onto our facility and now all the therapist are brainwashed in thinking that these modalities are the panacea to all cures and ailments. I have been against passive modalities for as long as I can remember because of their obvious ineffectiveness and clinician bias (hoping, wishing and thinking it works-ones promoting it or using it) and research indicating negative results. Now all of a sudden I am the “bad guy” or “rebel” because I refuse to use these machines. It could very well cost me my job, but I stand with what I believe in-I promote a hands on approach and corrective exercises. Any literature to support my cause or do I just quit this gig to preserve my integrity. Thanks, john

An even more powerful emotion than anger is FEAR. The black male is the most imposing figure and these officers are reacting out of fear. It’s amazing what a smile can do to change a situation. It won’t emasculate you, instead it will help you control your own emotions while calming others.
